Quality places is what you may expect to find In Algarve.  The quality of the water and the sand of the majority of the beaches is assured by the European certification “Blue Flag” (Bandeira Azul) which is a guarantee for the tourists, that these beaches are safe for long period vacations.  Throughout its 200-kilometer coastline, the Algarve is divided into bays, cliffs, caves, rocky beaches and wide beaches. Beaches in different shapes and sizes, bathed by clear waters, warm and quiet.

But there´s more than relaxing places in Portugal, if you go for a Portugal car hire, you can go north, to Alentejo. The Alentejo coast is one the best places in the world to learn Surf and Bodyboard, it has excellent waves all over the year with low strength, which makes them magnificient for beginners. For more radical water sports, you have unlimited options on the north of the country. Ericeira, Figueira da Foz, Nazaré or Peniche are word class places for the practice of the water sports.

At the moment I’m writing this it´s happening in Peniche the World Surf Championship, with the best surfers in the world. If you are an addicted to surf, know that Portugal is a small country but has all the type of waves you can imagine, in a short period of time a noob can turn up being a great surfer thanks to the quality of the waves.
